Western cultures in our exhibition zone "Nature, the Muse!".
Join us as we celebrate the magic of nature through the stunning creations of
talented artisans from China:
• ionger Jiang, co-founder of SHANG XIA, whose bicultural heritage inspires
her innovative creations.
• Lee Chih Yuan, a master artisan of lacquerware from Shanghai, dives into the
intersection of art, culture, and future innovations with lacquer and Al.
• Artist Zhao Jinya and ceramic designer Xin Yaoyao, explores "Craft Innovation
from a Female Perspective" in contemporary Chinese art.
• Daria Cheung, Associate Professor at Shanghai Art and Design Academy,
shares insights on integrating craft education for young artisans, and the
intricate process of eggshell lacquer craftsmanship.
• Hugh Zhang, founder of TAN CHINA, explores "The Contemporary Expression
of Traditional Crafts," reimagining carpet weaving through modern art and
design.
